--------

Last year we announced that our current home of 21 years was being sold by our landlord and we needed to acquire a new location. Originally, we found what we thought would be our new forever home at 757 Pacific Ave., but God had bigger (much bigger) plans. Our new landlord notified us that another building he owned at 1250 Pacific in Downtown Long Beach had become available. This large new location would allow us to more than double our capacity of students, ages 18 months to five years of age who are currently experiencing homelessness! This unique property would also allow us to not only greatly expand our operation, but also to launch a comprehensive infant program serving up to 20 infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months. This new space will also host a teacher’s lounge, dining room, kitchen, indoor play area, music room, resource center, conference room and age specific outdoor playground. Our Capital Campaign has raised funds toward our goal, but there's more work to do! We are committed to raising necessary additional funds, to enable this property transformation, expanding and enhancing Precious Lamb’s operations. We still have several naming opportunities including Pre-school, Pre-K and Toddler Classrooms, Music Room, infant centers and an outdoor playground. Minimum recognition for our Donor Wall is $10,000. We expect to move into this new building by the end of 2024. About Precious Lamb

Precious Lamb provides faith-based, full day, quality education and care to children 18 months to 5 years old who are experiencing homelessness, at no cost to the parent. Through early education that promotes faith building and school readiness, we seek to foster permanent, positive change in our families. Every day in Long Beach there are children facing uncertainty. Homelessness, food insecurity, lack of transportation, among other concerns, create an unstable environment for young children, making the ability to thrive very challenging. Precious Lamb strives to be the first stop for these children, on their way to education and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty in their family. Our ministry aims to educate, support, and enrich the daily lives of these children; to date, we have served nearly a thousand “precious lambs” and their families.
