Story 10
Hello, my name is Lillian Marcano, and I have four daughters. All of them went to Precious Lamb over the years, and the staff has always treated my family as if we were their family. I was homeless for years, staying at different people’s houses and going to shelters but never staying for long. I never could seem to get myself together for my two oldest daughters, who were even taken by CPS at one point. I worked really hard on my recovery and my relationship with God. My oldest daughter, Lakeysha, attended the preschool first. They loved her, and she loved them back. Every teacher enjoyed teaching her, and she was always singing and dancing. She loved working on projects and learned so much about the love of Jesus.
As my other children got old enough to attend, they were welcomed with open arms as they were loved and cared for. I was given so much grace throughout the years by the staff and other parents.
The women/men I’ve met over the years at or through Precious Lamb have showed me God’s love through people. I attended a church that used to help out with Breakfast Club (which I miss a lot) or the Mother’s Day event. These gatherings helped me learn so much about myself and the grace of God. I’m grateful to have been a part of the Precious Lamb family. My children still ask about the people and events, but with me working, we end up missing out. However, we are so thankful to have been a part of something so good.
